Episode 16 – Beer Law 101 with The Craft Beer Attorney (San Diego, CA)
Although she isn’t in charge of a brewery herself, Candace Moon, Esq., founder of The Craft Beer Attorney, certainly helps others find their place in the craft beer industry. While trudging through law school, Candace tended bar at Hamilton’s in California. There she learned just a little about the beverage industry. Soon after, she was inspired to open her own firm based around breweries.
Starting in 2009, Candace worked alone at the firm. After hiring three more attorneys, Candace’s firm supports over 200 craft beer breweries cut through the red tape. Now in 2016, she is heading up The Craft Beer Attorney Coalition and speaking at conventions around the country.
Candace joins me to talk about her firm, the many legal issues of the industry, trademark law, unique cases, and her book “Brew Law 101.”
